Detailed Process to Get to Backdoor Villa, Baler from the International Airport / Manila- Baler 

1. Arrival at the International Airport (NAIA):

• Upon landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), proceed to the arrivals area.

• From there, you can take a taxi or Grab (a ride-hailing service) to the JoyBus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City along EDSA northbound side of the highway. This journey typically takes 35 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.

2. Travel from NAIA to JoyBus Terminal: (FYI Joybus is the executive bus line of the Genesis Bus company)

• Once you arrive at JoyBus Terminal in Cubao, head to the ticket counter to buy your bus ticket to Baler. It is best to purchase this ticket ahead of the time so as to have guaranteed slot and seat.

• Important Note: Direct bus trips from Manila to Baler ONLY operates between 10 PM to 4 AM. If you want a direct, non-stop ride, it’s best to choose these hours.

• You can purchase tickets in advance on iwantseats.com, but tickets are also available at the terminal (too risky to purchase last minute).

3. Take the JoyBus or the cheaper Genesis Bus to Baler:

• Executive buses are highly recommended as they provide more comfort, with lazy boy seats and amenities like Wi-Fi ( sometimes) and a restroom on board. These buses travel directly to Baler without any stopovers, ensuring a quicker and more comfortable journey. on the other hand there is the Genesis Bus which makes a stop in Cabanatuan. It is an air-conditioned bus and costs a bit cheaper than the executive ones from Joybus.

• The bus ride typically takes between 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on road conditions. Be sure to board the Bus on time for the scheduled departure. Bring snacks. It gets pretty cold too so bring something to wear for warmth.

4. Arrival at Baler (Baler Bus Terminal):

• After the bus ride, you will arrive at the Baler Bus Terminal in Baler.

• Exit the bus and right there you will find tricycles lining up. Only get a tricycle that has a huge number painted on the face of the sidecar. It means they are registered and tricycle operators of whom you can report using their numbers.

5. Hire a Tricycle to Backdoor Villa:

• From the Baler Terminal, hire a tricycle to take you to Backdoor Villa, Sabang, Baler.

• The fare for the tricycle ride should be around 50 to 100 pesos (roughly 2 USD).

• Inform the tricycle driver that you’re heading to Backdoor Villa, which is located along Alley 1 in Sabang, Baler. If needed, use Google Maps to help guide you to the exact location.

6. Arrival at Backdoor Villa:

• Once you reach Backdoor Villa, you can check in and enjoy your stay in Baler.
